Naturally, they dragged the guys in "27 Dresses." After of 30 minutes of viewing, we were hooked but had to leave to see out primary objective. After 1:30 hours of dizzling, mind-blowing, handy-cam cinematography, we exited theater 20 and looking to see if there was a late showing of the chick flick. Bingo! We caught another showing right on the exact moment we walked out on it earlier. I think we were meant to see the movie on this particular night. to see the movie on this particular night. Part of the charm of "27 Dresses" is the refreshing chemistry between Katherine Heigl (Gross Anatomy fame)who plays Jane and James Marsden (AKA Cyclop from X-MEN), who plays Kevin. There were many sprinkles of laughs in between really cliches-ish script that follows many past romantic comedy formulas. The actors are verygood to the eyes. There is no true villian. The closest thing to an antagonist is Jane's spoiled sister,Tess (Malin Akerman). In the end, the true success of a chick flick is based on the response by the male audience. Most of the out-loud laughter I'd mentioned earlier was from the testosterone side of the equation. Overall, the movie is very entertaining movie and I would recommend it to friends. As I photographer,I did learn nothing about the wedding business from the movie.
